Tomorrow I'm heading to Bucknell to race the 3000 again. My number one goal is to stay chill beforehand. Workouts have been going splendidly for weeks now, and I know I'm in some decent shape. It's my head that holds me back. Once I can control the pre-race jitters a bit better, I'll be set.
I'd be lying if I said it was not longer my goal to hit the PSAC qualifying mark (10:48.10), but ultimately I'd like to be able to break 11 minutes tomorrow. Baby steps. I'll get there in good time. I think.
The first part of the meet was today and some teammates and I drove out to watch. The girls' DMR ran fantastically, hitting a provisional national qualifier in 12:18. My roomies, Amber and Ashley also both ran tonight in the 5000, and they both hit the PSAC qualifier. Amber was under 18 and Ash was under 19 - awesommmmmmme.
It's probably time to head to bed now. Fortunatly, it's not that early of a leave tomorrow morning, but early enough - 8:15.
